Synopsis
The episode opens with the Star family having Thanksgiving dinner. Patrick declares that he is thankful for food, and Squidina agrees. When dinner is over, Patrick and Squidina go to watch a holiday movie featuring Captain Quasar. At the start of the movie, Quasar is negotiating a peace treaty with the Saladrian empire through a game of rock-paper scissors. Quasar wins, and tells Pat-Tron to sign the treaty by hitting a button. Pat-Tron mistakenly hits the wrong button, firing a laser and blowing up the Saladrians' ship. The leader mistakes this as an intentional betrayal and fires back. Pat-Tron and Quasar quickly get into an escape pod, and head to the planet Tron-tron to visit Pat-Tron's family for the holidays.
Pat-Tron's family, who are lookalikes of the Star family, welcome him in. Cecil-5000 mistakes Quasar's blaster for dessert and eats it, leaving him defenseless. Cecil runs into Grand-Tron and is blasted with steam, then tries to relax, but gets shocked by a chair with electric plugs on it. Cecil-5000 tries to change the adaptors, shocking Quasar repeatedly. He tells Pat-Tron that he cannot take his family anymore and tries to run out of the building, but runs into Pat-Tron's attractive Swedish cousin, Inga-Tron. Quasar falls in love with her and decides to stay.
For Blorpsgiving dinner, the family eats various inedible computing materials. Trying to impress Inga-Tron, Quasar attempts to eat the foods she offers. When Inga-Tron clears the dishes, Quasar offers to carry them for her, but collapses under their weight. Patrick and Squidina, who are watching the movie, begin falling asleep, as are Pat-Tron's family. Grand-Tron's water reservoir bursts and sprays all over Inga-Tron. Quasar saves her by getting a bag of space rice to dry her. She comes back to life, declaring her love for him.
The two get married, and the ceremony is interrupted by Inga-Tron's head being taken off her body to be put into her wedding clothes. Quasar realizes that the same is expected of him, and the resulting removal will kill him. Pat-Tron's family take out their own cutting tools and chase after him. Quasar tries to escape, but nothing works.
Suddenly, the Saladrians beam back down and demand Quasar be handed over. When the leader sees Inga-Tron, he falls in love with her and offers to marry her. In the background, Pat-Tron drags Quasar away and back to the ship. Despite judging the leader as incompatible, Inga-Tron agrees to marry him anyways. Pat-Tron and Quasar take off and decide to visit the latter's family next year. As they fly away, Cecil-Tron tries to cut apart the Saladrian leader as part of the ceremony. Patrick and Squidina marvel at the movie's ending, but when Bunny offers them a real salad, they scream and run out of the room.
Running gags
- Quasar continuously struggles to adapt with Pat-Tron's family ways.
