He also did the voice of the mayor in the Ghostbusters video game alongside his brother, Bill Murray, who did the voice for Peter Venkman. He is an alumnus of Saturday Night Live and has also been a voice actor in various animated series, such as The Buzz on Maggie, My Gym Partner's a Monkey, Jackie Chan Adventures, Family Guy, and The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack. He played the role of Clark Griswold's boss in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and is known for playing Noah Vanderhoff in Wayne's World. He played Frankie Heck's boss on The Middle. He also played Monsignor Ratliffe in The Three Stooges Movie.

Trivia

  • Coincidentally, he was born on Halloween (October 31) and he first voices the Flying Dutchman in a Halloween-themed episode, and later did so again in "The Legend of Boo-Kini Bottom."
  • The Flying Dutchman isn't the only captain/pirate related cartoon character he has voice, as he also played Captain K'nuckles on The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack.
