Character

The Mermaids are mermaids that only appear in the episode "Welcome to the Bikini Bottom Triangle," There are 5 mermaids, each similar to Princess Mindy. They first appeared as antagonists, as they stole many objects from Bikini Bottom.

History

The mermaids were first seen stealing stuff in Bikini Bottom by singing. Their reason for stealing the objects was so they could find something "cool" to wear. When they sung their song backwards, it returned the enormous pile of the stolen objects back to Bikini Bottom. They then decided to go to the mall with Pearl, because they wanted to find out what a mall was. Template:Data:Links had a crush on the Mermaids. Unlike Mindy, the mermaids looked confused seeing Patrick, when he wanted to hang out with them.

Trivia

Like Mindy, Patrick had a crush on them. Apparently, Patrick likes mermaids.
They are also seen in the cover of Legends of Bikini Bottom where SpongeBob is in the main drain and Madame Hagfish attacks them with Ma Angler, except Old Man Jenkins and Template:Data:Links.
They resemble King Triton's daughters from The Little Mermaid except instead of 7 mermaids, there are only 5 mermaids.
Template:Data:Links and Patrick also went into a cave where they found a picture of a Mermaid, Madame Hagfish, and Ma Angler on the cave walls.
Their personality is also similar to Pearl Krabs.
