- This episode marks the fifth instance of Plankton going inside SpongeBob. The first is "Plankton!," the second is "The Inside Job," and the third is The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water and the fourth is "The Krusty Slammer. The plot is also similar to "The Inside Job."
- The title is a pun on the phrase "a taste of something" which means to like a certain food item.
