Baker was born in Bloomington, Indiana to Buddy and Nancy Baker, and grew up in Greeley, Colorado. He started performing at age nine and steadily worked in musicals, operas, plays and stand-up. He is a cast member on SpongeBob SquarePants and Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years, voicing Squilliam Fancyson, Bubble Bass, and various other characters.
