Biography
Mr. Lawrence debuted with writing on the episode "Tea at the Treedome". In the audio commentary for "Plankton!", Doug Lawrence reveals he won the voice of Plankton in an auditioning contest held at the beginning of production.
He was a writer, director, and the voice of Filbert the Turtle on Rocko's Modern Life, where he also worked with Tom Kenny who voiced Heffer, and also as a writer, director, and the voice of Edward the Platypus, Dave, Ping Pong, and Nurse Leslie the Shark on Camp Lazlo, which are both shows he, the show's creator Stephen Hillenburg, and the rest of the original series' staff have made.
In season 10, he was promoted to story editor after Kyle McCulloch left the show.
