Character

Dutch[2] is a sentient, speaking bedroom door that appears in The Patrick Star Show as the door of Patrick Star's bedroom. He also appears in the SpongeBob SquarePants episode "A Skin Wrinkle in Time."

Description

Bedroom Door is a yellow door who wears a red bow tie. Being Patrick's bedroom door is only his day job, and he lives in downtown Bikini Bottom with his family. He has a wife, Dorothy; a daughter, Doreen; a son, Isadore; and a pet named Fi-Dor. While he mainly appears as a background detail, he has occasionally been given speaking roles on the show.

Major roles

"Mid-Season Finale"

He speaks when Patrick and Squidina are about to enter the dressing room, announcing, "And now, everyone's favorite silly siblings, Patrick and Squidina!"

"Get Off My Lawnie"

Squidina and Bedroom Door exchange nervous looks when Patrick does a noisy show late at night.

"There Goes the Neighborhood"

When Patrick's Wheel of Ideas gets loose, Bedroom Door swallows it and it goes through him. He later appears in the neighborhood, introducing Patrick and Squidina to his family. He invites them for dinner, but they decline after seeing he does not have any ice cream.

"The Commode Episode"

When Patrick needs to use the bathroom, he tells Bedroom Door, who lets him take a shortcut through a different part of the house. Patrick then runs into Bedroom Door's mouth.

"Is There a Director in the House?"

When Patrick is pacing around his room and wondering how he's going to find a new director, Bedroom Door speaks up and reminds Patrick that he has an emergency director button in his desk. When Patrick presses it, Bedroom Door slides away and a capsule rolls down, containing Cecil.

"Day of the Living Dad Jokes"
