Character

A flea is a bug that Sandy picks up while visiting Texas and brought to Bikini Bottom. It is known for being able to reproduce in rapid succession, causing an infestation within Sandy's treedome. It first appears in the episode "A Flea in Her Dome."

Description

The flea is a small insect with a round, red body and two yellow eyes. It has two long legs and four short legs, and has a pair of antennae on its head.

Role in series

"Flea in Her Dome"

After Sandy brings it home, the flea causes pain to SpongeBob, Patrick, and Sandy by continuously biting the three. This is a conflict throughout the rest of the episode.

The flea's attacks are eventually countered by Sandy's flea-proof collar. However, the collar is destroyed during the multiplication of the fleas.

After the fleas duplicate, Sandy gets an idea to destroy them with water, so she opens the door to her treedome and all of the Bikini Bottomites are sucked into her house.

Picture it!

While dreaming of the motto "brake, key, drive, gas" to help with his driving test, SpongeBob starts dreaming of things that rhyme with the motto, and he thinks of a flea as it rhymes with "key."
