Template:LTab Bikini Bottom takes place in almost every episode, short, movie, and video game as it is the main location of the SpongeBob SquarePants series.
- Bikini Bottom was not featured in the "Astrology with Squidward" shorts, the "Nicktoons Battle" short, the "Beware Flying Jellyfish" short, the "Documenting Our Road Trip" short, the "Pest of the West" shorts, the "What if the Mystery Ended This Way...?" short, the "Ask Patrick Anything" short, "The Museum of Cartoon Sponges" short, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water shorts, and the "Plankton. A Thank You Would Be Nice." short.
Episodes where the characters leave Bikini Bottom
- "SB-129" - Template:Data:Links gets frozen 2,000 years into the future and finds himself in a chrome version of the Krusty Krab and Bikini Bottom in general. He uses the time machine to go back to the present, but instead finds himself in a primitive version of Bikini Bottom, and later Nowhere.
- "Rock Bottom" - Template:Data:Links and Template:Data:Links accidentally take the wrong bus and end up in Rock Bottom.
- "Texas" - Template:Data:Links takes the bus to go back to her hometown, Texas. However, she returns to Bikini Bottom upon hearing SpongeBob and Patrick insult Texas.
- "Big Pink Loser" - Patrick briefly goes up in the air of Bikini Atoll to show "his" award to the island, before losing water and going back into the ocean.
- "Life of Crime" - SpongeBob and Patrick say goodbye to Bikini Bottom and live out in the open to spite their criminal reputations for "stealing" a balloon.
- "The Algae's Always Greener" - Plankton finds himself transported into an alternate-universe Krusty Krab where he is named Mr. Plankton after his invention worked.
- "No Weenies Allowed" - SpongeBob gets briefly flung up to Bikini Atoll after Sandy hits him with her karate glove.
- "Born Again Krabs" - Mr. Krabs is abducted by the Flying Dutchman and threatened to spend eternity in Davy Jones' locker.
- "Pranks a Lot" - Sandy goes back to Texas via her acorn-shaped rocket after being scared by "ghosts" in her home.
- "Chimps Ahoy" - Sandy almost leaves Bikini Bottom again by taking the bus.
- "Atlantis SquarePantis" - SpongeBob, Patrick, Template:Data:Links, Sandy, Template:Data:Links, and Template:Data:Links go to Atlantis.
- "The Inmates of Summer" - SpongeBob and Patrick are going to go off to summer camp, but they take the wrong ship and end up in Inferno Island.
- "What Ever Happened to SpongeBob?" - SpongeBob finds himself in New Kelp City after running away from Bikini Bottom due to his friends' mistreatment of him.
- "SpongeBob SquarePants vs. The Big One" - The Flying Dutchman is sent to Davy Jones' locker.
- "SpongeBob's Last Stand" - SpongeBob and Patrick get sent to Nowhere by the police.
- "Rodeo Daze" - Sandy goes to Texas to fight in the rodeo. SpongeBob blows a bubble transporting himself and everyone else out of the sea and onto land to save Sandy in Texas.
- "Hide and Then What Happens?" - SpongeBob uses Sandy's submarine to find where Patrick is hiding, but ends up finding Patrick Not-Star instead.
- "Mooncation" - Sandy and SpongeBob go to the moon.
- "Goons on the Moon" - Sandy and her Science Scout troop go to the moon.
