  • This is also the third season finale episode in a row to be shorter than 11 minutes. The first was "Don't Wake Patrick" and the second was "The String."
• The episode could be referencing the events that happened in season 1 episode Sleepy Time.
• SpongeBob finding a golden spatula is a reference to his collecting them in Battle of Bikini Bottom.
