"Mermaid Teenager" incidentals
The "Mermaid Teenager incidentals" are five teenage girls who used to live in the Bikini Bottom Triangle. They used their singing voices to summon many objects from Bikini Bottom. They all first appear in the episode "Welcome to the Bikini Bottom Triangle."
Description
Each "Mermaid Teenager" incidental has a different appearance.
Mermaid Teenager 1
She is a light olive green mermaid with dark purple hair and a green-colored tail. She wears a lime green top with pink seashells.
Mermaid Teenager 2
She is a light blue mermaid with blue hair and an aqua-colored tail. She wears an aquamarine top with pink seashells.
Mermaid Teenager 3
She is a yellow mermaid with orange hair and a teal-colored tail. She wears a cyan top with pink seashells.
Mermaid Teenager 4
She is a turquoise mermaid with blonde hair and a light green-colored tail. She wears a yellow top with pink seashells.
Mermaid Teenager 5
She is a lavender mermaid with purple hair and a lime-green colored tail. She wears a light green top with pink seashells.
Personality
They have personalities of stereotypical bratty teenage girls and feel no obligation in returning stolen items.
Role in series
"Welcome to the Bikini Bottom Triangle"
The mermaids are first seen stealing in Bikini Bottom from their singing. Their reason for stealing the objects is so they can find something "cool" to wear. Template:Data:Links is revealed to have a crush on the mermaids but they are somewhat confused seeing Patrick when he wants to hang out with them.
Later on, they reject him by throwing him onto Template:Data:Links for annoying them. They are then confused by Template:Data:Links's rants of wanting to go to the mall and asks her what a mall is before getting excited over her explanation of it. They then decide to go with her to see it for themselves and sing their song backwards, after Template:Data:Links suggests it. Doing so returns the enormous pile of the stolen objects back to Bikini Bottom.
Once the items are back, they become friends with Pearl and go to the mall with her.
"Mermaid Man Begins"
Mermaid Man's version of his backstory includes Mermaid Teenagers 2 and 5. They save him from drowning and Mermaid Teenager 5 gives him a magic sea star that allows him to breathe underwater.
Legends of Bikini Bottom (game)
The mermaids are the main focus of the mini-game "Suction Destruction." They prepare their giant vacuum to take everything in their path. SpongeBob dodges the vacuum's debris and throws TNT barrels at it. At the end of each level, SpongeBob has to dodge the mermaids' music notes.
The Cosmic Shake
In the Pirate Goo Lagoon level, Mermaid Teenager 2 (with a new color scheme) needs help from SpongeBob and Patrick to make some music. Patrick thinks she is very pretty and asks to go on a dance date with her. She says yes, but only as a friend. At the end of the level, she blows a kiss to Patrick.
When the treasure chest is opened, Mermaid Teenager 2 is joined by Mermaid Teenagers 4 and 5 (with their regular colors) as they sing.
SpongeBob Comics No. 16
In the story The Treasure of Captain Goldfish, a light blue mermaid with blue hair, a blurple-colored tail, & a light green top with pink seashells, a yellow mermaid with orange hair, an orange-colored tail, & a light orange top with pink seashells, and a light green mermaid with medium dark green hair, a green-colored tail, & a medium light green top with pink seashells on a rock near Goo Lagoon. A blurple mermaid with bright coral colored hair, a pink tail, & a purple seashell bra posing for a paparazzi fish underwater.

Trivia
- Like Princess Mindy, Patrick has a crush on them because he loves mermaids.
- They are also seen on the cover of the Legends of Bikini Bottom DVD.
- One poster shows SpongeBob and Patrick going into a cave where they find a picture of Mermaid Teenager 5, Madame Hagfish, and Ma Angler on the cave walls.
- Mermaid Teenager 2 resembles Queen Amphitrite.
