Comic book district

Template:LTab Template:Location The comic book district is a district of comic book stores in Bikini Bottom. It appears in The Patrick Star Show episode "FitzPatrick."

Description

The comic book district features several comic book stores all located on one block. The buildings included in the district are Near Mint Comic Books, Comics R' Us +, Ye Olde Comic Shoppe, Comic Fatigue Syndrome, Komicz Shopz Kewlz, Super Hero Market, and Boom!

Role in episode

Template:Data:Links takes FitzPatrick to the district, as one of the areas they travel to in Bikini Bottom. They first go into Near Mint Comic Books, where FitzPatrick gives Patrick his hair and distracts him with a fantasy comic book. FitzPatrick vandalizes the store, causing the cashier to kick out Patrick. However, there are several other comic stores located in the same area. When Patrick tries to take FitzPatrick to these stores, he gets a call from Template:Data:Links, informing him that he has to host The Patrick Show!

• Three buildings with a similar name to Ye Olde Comic Shoppe have previously appeared in SpongeBob SquarePants: Ye Olde Olde Folks Home and Ye Olde Bowling Alley in "Dunces and Dragons," and Ye Olde Shoppe in "Pest of the West."

• The name of Comics R' Us + is a parody of Toys "R" Us and Babies "R" Us.
