• This episode marks the fourth instance of Plankton going inside SpongeBob. The first is "Plankton!," the second is "The Inside Job," and the third is The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water. The plot is also similar to "The Inside Job."
• The title is a pun on the phrase "a taste of something" which means to like a certain food item.
