- This episode marks the seventh instance of Plankton going inside SpongeBob. The first is "Plankton!," the second is "The Inside Job," the third is The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water, the fourth is "House Worming," the fifth is "The Krusty Slammer," and the sixth is "Parasite Pals." The plot is also similar to "The Inside Job."
- The title is a pun on the phrase "a taste of something" which means to like a certain food item.
