Characters
Synopsis
The comic starts with SpongeBob and Patrick playing music outside of Squidward's house, where Squidward promptly destroys their instruments.
Assuming that he is upset by something earlier in the day, they decide to try to cheer him up by baking a cake in the shape of his face. They add the words "cheer up" on the forehead, and leave it on a coral stump outside Squidward's house and walk away.
A few seconds later Mr. Krabs comes along and, mistaking the cake stump combo for Squidward, asks it to help with a crowded Krusty Krab, saying, "I know it's yer day off but the Krusty Krab is swamped and I need yer help!"
Seeing the words "cheer up" on the forehead, he assumes this means yes and drags the cake to the Krusty Krab. Putting it at the cash register he hops into his office, leaving the cake in charge.
One customer thinks 'Squidward' is ignoring him and pokes his forehead, smearing the R and U making it say "cheep."
When a second customer comes up she thinks the cake is calling her cheap, and threatens, "You're just lucky my boyfriend isn't here or he'd pop you in the kisser!"
The health inspector suddenly appears and as he inspects the nose of the cake falls off. He tells everyone to panic and when Mr. Krabs comes out of his office, the health inspector tells him he's shutting the Krusty Krab down. Mr. Krabs responds by firing 'Squidward' and plopping the cake coral combo at Squidward's door.
Squidward comes out to see what the noise was to see the customer who thought she was being called cheap is there with her boyfriend, who is holding a bat.
The comic ends with SpongeBob and Patrick at SpongeBob's house, where SpongeBob wonders if Squidward ever got their cake yet and Patrick says he's sure it made Squidward's day, completely oblivious to the angry mob outside.
