SpongeBob Comics #61 is a SpongeBob SquarePants comic book that was released on October 12, 2016.

Summary

Mr. Krabs brings submerged supernatural doom down upon the Krusty Krab when he tries to squeeze extra pennies out of a seemingly poor old harmless SEA WITCH! But why does her terrible spell affect everyone but Patrick? Find out in "The Krusty Curse!" Then, in "The House on Jellyfish Fields," cartoonist Graham Annable (Grickle, Box Trolls, Coraline) writes and draws an eerie wordless tale of SpongeBob on the run from the spooky denizens of a mysterious mansion. Plus: a double page cutaway view of a very haunted (and very familiar) pineapple house by Bob Flynn (Bravest Warriors) and Jim Campbell (Over the Garden Wall). When an old sea witch lady is outraged by having to pay two dollars for extra pickles on a Krabby Patty, she uses her magic wand stick and places a storm cloud curse on the Krusty Krab. Elsewhere, when the same old sea witch lady almost trips on a rock, Patrick saves her. Because of this, the old sea witch lady uses her magic wand stick to make Patrick get lucky every time he wishes for something. When Mr. Krabs finds this out, he convinces Patrick to use his good luck wishing power to help fix up the Krusty Krab and find ways to get rid of the curse.
The House on Jellyfish Fields	23-28
When SpongeBob is jellyfishing, he follows a jellyfish into a mysterious haunted house where trouble ensues.
Halloween Scream	29
SpongeBob hears a creaking sound and thinks that Sandy Cheeks' treedome is haunted by science.
Creepy Science!!!	29
When SpongeBob tries to figure out the mystery, he finds Sandy's tree with a branch creaking in the breeze and thinks it's haunted by a tiny robot.
Halloween Party	30-31
SpongeBob and Patrick in the living room think that they are alone at their Halloween party, completely unaware that the rest of SpongeBob SquarePants' house is haunted with objects coming to life on all of the other floors.

Trivia

General

The comic strip The Krusty Curse! (AKA: The Luck of Mr. Patrick Star) has a similar plot to the episode "The Curse of the Hex," as both involve an old lady cursing the Krusty Krab due to not being satisfied with the service.

Cultural references

At the bottom of the Halloween Party comic strip, two ghosts are playing an Atari 2600 with two controllers.

Errors

On the front cover, the United Plankton Pictures, Inc. logo is light blue instead of green.
