Synopsis
Mermaid Man, with help from Barnacle Boy, is giving the reader a tour of the Mermalair. After entering the Mermalair, Mermaid Man starts talking about the "Hall of Adventure" when Barnacle Boy hears people talking deeper in the Mermalair, causing them to investigate.
The heroes discover that many of their items have been tampered with; the Invisible boatmobile is covered in dirty handprints, the line in their giant fishing reel is tangled, the wax figures of various villains have had their clothes removed, and their Bikini Bottom city map is vandalized with drawings. Barnacle Boy finds drawings of SpongeBob's pineapple and Patrick's rock, making him realize that the two are behind everything. Barnacle Boy then whispers a plan to Mermaid Man.
Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy loudly announce that they are leaving, with Mermaid Man dropping his shell bra onto the floor. SpongeBob and Patrick scamper towards the bra and put it on, and Barnacle Boy pulls a lever that activates the Mermalair's secret trap door, sending SpongeBob and Patrick down a chute and out of the lair. Mermaid Man says that the tour will continue after he puts his bra back on, but Barnacle Boy wants him to stop talking to himself and start cleaning the mess.

Trivia
General
- The wall of weapons from "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy III" returns, along with Man Ray's power glove, the mermarang, and the tickle belt.
Cultural references
- The Mermalair features a picture of flags captioned "Seamaphore," a reference to flag semaphore, a system where messages are conveyed at a distance, usually with flags.
- The invisible boatmobile in this comic resembles Batman's Batmobile.
Errors
- The comic refers to the Mermalair as the "Merma-lair."
- The statues in the "Hall of Villains" are referred to as wax figures. However, they more closely resemble wooden mannequins.
