Ah yes. Spongebob Squarepants . I don't really have that much history with the series due to the fact that I have not watched that many Spongebob episodes.
anyways. the first thing from Spongebob I saw when I was young back in the day was The Spongebob Squarepants Movie. I loved the movie as a kid and watched it so many times like you don't know. it was the only Spongebob thing I had at the time so it was mostly the thing I watched. but years later when I started school. I saw few episodes of the series when it was on TV. the episodes that I remember the most were Squeaky Boots, Procrastination, Sailor Mouth, Chocolate with Nuts, Ugh andThe Great Snail Race. as you can tell. I only saw episodes from the first three seasons of the golden age. and that's about it mostly. I have not really saw any other episodes from the series until sometime at 2017.

To be honest. I loved the first three seasons. not because they were part of my childhood but because they make me laugh the most and miss how much Spongebob used to be a hilarious show to me. . he characters were the best parts of it. especially Squidward.
After season 3. I feel like the series was not the same anymore after the golden age. it looked like that season 4 tried to be the same as seasons 1-3. and while even though the season was not bad. I liked the season but it didn't feel the same anymore. season 5 is where I see the series went bad onwards. the jokes were not that funny. the characters started to be annoying and it was not that funny. there were some scenes that did make me laugh but mostly that was it.
However, Sponge Out of Water was a great movie and I loved it. but after the movie. the series got new animation and..well. I don't know what to say tho. the series is now alright nowadays. the new animation kind of bothers me but I prefer it much more then the animation in seasons 7 and 8. the jokes in the new seasons do make me laugh sometimes and well that's all I want to say.
