A Day Without Tears
Template:EpisodeA Day Without Tears is an SpongeBob SquarePants episode from season seven.
Brief summary: - Squidward is sick and tired of Spongebob crying every once in a while.
Plot
SpongeBob wakes up, stubs his toe, and starts crying. He ruins his favorite shirt and starts crying once again. He goes downstairs and hears a sad song on the radio, he cries. At work, Squidward tells SpongeBob that he cries too much, SpongeBob denys it. Squidward then pulls up a TV and plays a video of the millions of times and places SpongeBob has cried over those years. He then makes a bet with SpongeBob that he couldn't last untill midnight without crying. After the bet is made, Squidward follows SpongeBob home to make sure he dosn't cry, and tries to make SpongeBob cry over things like a beautiful sunset, a sad movie, and the like. If Squidward wins and SpongeBob cries, SpongeBob has to do all of Squidward's chores. If SpongeBob dosn't cry, and Squidward loses, he has to attend a sleepover at SpongeBob's house(much to his disgust). Amazenly, SpongeBob manages to hold in his tears until midnight (despite Squidward's best attempts), and Squidward comes over for a slumber party the next night, and the episode ends with Squidward crying and Spongebob comforting him.

Trivia/Goofs

- The title card is identical to Pickles, but it's a bit zoomed-in more.
- On the radio, if you listen carfully, the announcer said the song was by Eely Dan. This is a obvious referance to the jazz rock band Steely Dan. Also the next song was by Lionel Fishy. This is also a reference to Lionel Richie.
- When Squidward puts the slideshow of Spongebob crying, none of them were in any episode.
- This episode may be a reference to a Smurfs episode Crying Smurfs.
- The Bikini Bottom Men's Choir made another appearance in this episode.
- On the Triton's Revennge DVD, this episode is on the DVD and it includes a deleted scene. It shows, after SpongeBob is "yelled at" by Squidward, Squidward tells SpongeBob "You know there's an old saying, SpongeBob". SpongeBob asks, "What is it?" Squidward answers, "Don't cry over a soiled krabby patty!, and now may I give you a little word of advice... SHUUT UP!!!" SpongeBob starts crying more. Then, it cuts to the chalkboard scene.
- When Squidward is making Spongebob watch TV, it shows a commercial with a father and his son. The house shown was Spongebob's Grandma's house.
- This episode is similar to "Funny Pants" only instead of Squidward tells SpongeBob that do not laugh until midnight, this time is that Squidward tells SpongeBob that should not mourn until midnight.
- I don't understand how in the world it is that SpongeBob threw his TV out the window and yet, at the end of the episode, SpongeBob and Squidward are watching the TV. Either SpongeBob used Sandy's cloning tank from "Overbooked" to clone his TV, or he got his TV fixed, or he replaced his TV.
- It the 4th time to have Deleted Scene 3rd was The Sponge Who Could Fly 2nd was Just One Bite 1st was Procrastination
