Synopsis

Squidward is calling SpongeBob to get him to turn down his loud music. The comic is presented as a series of non-liner panels that reader can respond to according to SpongeBob's voicemail.

  • Panel 1 leads to panel 3 to call SpongeBob.
  • Panel 2 leads to panel 7 if Gary accidentally knocked over the phone and crawled over it, or panel 4 to reach SpongeBob.
  • Panel 3 leads to panel 7 to tell SpongeBob a joke, panel 4 to hear a joke, or panel 6 otherwise.
  • Panel 4 has SpongeBob ask "What word do you always pronounce wrong?" and say to press 9 for the answer.
  • Panel 5 has SpongeBob welcome Sandy if she called, tell Plankton to press 9 for the Krabby Patty secret formula, and say to press the anchor for Squidward.
  • Panel 6 instructs to press 8 if the caller is SpongeBob's friend, or press the ship's wheel if he works at their restaurant.
  • Panel 7 has SpongeBob laugh, tell the caller they are funny, and hang up.
  • Panel 8 has SpongeBob say to press 0 if they are his friend and their name starts with P, press 5 if they are his friend and their name starts with S, or press 2 if they are anyone else.
  • Panel 9 has SpongeBob say "Wrong! Did I fool you? Bye!" and hang up.
  • The ship's wheel panel has SpongeBob say he will be right in for work.
  • Panel 0 has SpongeBob say he was supposed to meet Patrick somewhere, but the latter either got lost or forgot, and he is sure it will never happen again.
  • The anchor panel as SpongeBob say he cannot talk because he is listening to music, and to call back in two hours, making Squidward faint.
