Friend Fair!

Friend Fair is the seventh and final comic strip of SpongeBob Comics No. 20.

Synopsis

SpongeBob is walking down the sidewalk when he sees a billboard for a Friend Fair. He immediately runs to Patrick's house to tell him about it. Patrick answers, opening his rock house, and crushing SpongeBob. At first, he doesn't know where SpongeBob is, and then SpongeBob tells him about the Friend Fair. At first, Patrick confuses it for a Fred Fair. They rush over to the Friend Fair, but then Patrick reveals that he doesn't know what it is. SpongeBob tells him all about it—where friends can do friendly things, such as eating treats, riding rides and attractions. They go to the Double Dipper ice cream stand, and ride the Buddy-Go-Round, Amigo Karts, Tilt-A-Pal, That's-How-We-Roller-Coaster, the Hall of Freaky Mirror, and the Friendly Funhouse.

Patrick sees a Friendship of the Year contest, and they enter it. In the first challenge, SpongeBob must balance Patrick on his nose. The second challenge, SpongeBob must catch Patrick who jumps off a diving board. The final challenge is a three-legged race. Patrick misunderstands the race, thinking that they are not supposed to be tied together, but SpongeBob tells him it is supposed to be that way. When the official begins the race, Patrick goes running, dragging SpongeBob behind him.

After that, there is a knowledge round, but Patrick gets all of them wrong—writing that SpongeBob's pet is "Petly" instead of "Gary," that SpongeBob works at "That place with the stuff" instead of Krusty Krab, and that his favorite sport is "Patrick ball" instead of Jellyfishing. The next question, they are asked what their friend's house is made out of, and Patrick says candy instead of pineapple. Next, they are asked the shape of each other's pants, and Patrick says "orange" instead of "square." Patrick had asked for a glass of water, and began to enjoy it while SpongeBob explodes in anger at Patrick's wrong answer, and then collapses. Patrick dumps his water on SpongeBob, riving him, and the official called it a heroic sacrifice and names SpongeBob and Patrick the winners of the contest, which gives them a lifetime supply of Bubble solution.
