The giant fruit fly is a fly who appears in the episode "A SquarePants Family Vacation," the online game Oh Snap! Road Trip!, and the book SpongeBob's Runaway Roadtrip, all of which it is seen as the false main antagonist.
Description
The giant fruit fly is similar to a wasp colored to be a fly, but has yellow eyes with red rectangle irises, two arms, four legs, and yellow mandibles.
Role in episode
When SpongeBob and Patrick first encountered the creature, they ran away in fear until they were able to hide behind a brick wall located near the forest's gift shop. This caused the monster to become confused and fly away. The fly was later seen being attracted by a song that SpongeBob was playing, offering him and Patrick a ride after being entertained by it. The giant fruit fly then flew them back to the playground located next to Servis Stashun.
