Cause
It is caused by getting covered in grease. It is currently unknown what cures it.
Role in episode
The health inspector comes by during the night and reveals that he had made a mistake and that no one was actually sick. He then sees Squidward who is afflicted with Grease Gout, along with Squidward, SpongeBob, Mrs. Puff, Patrick, Pearl and Mr. Krabs who are infected with other diseases.
