Isopod (The Patrick Star Show)
Isopods are forest-dwelling animals that appear in the episode "Survivoring."
Description
Isopods are large, blue, insect-like animals. They have yellow eyes, antennae, and crawl on four legs. They speak in a language consisting of clacking sounds.
Role in episode
When Squidina is alone in the wilderness, she says that anyone living in the wilderness without gear is "a real ding-dong." Some isopods surface from the bushes and surround Squidina, who fears she has offended them.
Later, Patrick and Cecil are lost in the forest, and run into Squidina, who is wearing a coat made out of leaves. She points at the two and speaks the isopod language, crawling after them with a group of isopods. They snare the two in a net. Cecil fears that the isopods will eat him and Patrick, but Squidina explains she was just bringing them to her new shelter. Squidina had learned the isopods' language and dressed like them, in just a few minutes. She became their leader and had them help her build the shelter. Some isopod butlers serve the Star family as they relax by the pool.
