Jet pack
The jet pack is a machine and one of the many inventions created by Sandy. It appears in the episode "Spy Buddies" and the app game The SpongeBob Movie Game: Sponge on the Run.
Description
It resembles a brown book bag with a small cone-shaped rocket on the bottom of it.
Role in episode
When SpongeBob and Patrick want to become spies, they receive many gadgets from Sandy. When they accidentally set Plankton on fire with a magnifying glass, causing him to run off, they use the jet pack to catch up to him. However, they end up flying over him, setting him alight again after he just extinguished himself in a soda cup. The duo lose control of the jet pack, crashing into several buildings, before the jet pack snaps off of Patrick's back and flies off on its own, causing them to crash onto the sidewalk. The jet pack isn't seen again after this.
