The kraken is a giant octopus who appears in the episode "Grandpappy the Pirate."

Description

The Kraken is really big and has yellow eyes and has green octopus body and tentacles for arms and legs. And he has some monstrous teeth and angry eyebrows.

Role in episode

It is only seen on a projection screen, when Mr. Krabs shows his grandfather that there was a sea monster. He tries to throw a harpoon at it, but SpongeBob ends up catching it, and it unknowingly lands on the sea monster's head, knocking him underwater.
