Mrs. Sturgeon
Mrs. Sturgeon is a character who appears in the episode "Mandatory Music."
Description
She's a green sturgeon with blue fins. She has orange hair styled into a bubble cut. She wears a pink blouse with magenta ties and a belt around her blouse, a dark pink skirt with light pink flowers, pink lipstick and brown shoes. She's a teacher at the Little Flipper Music Academy.
Role in episode
Mrs. Sturgeon introduces her two new students, Squidward and SpongeBob to the class. She then has them play their own instruments to gauge their skill levels and everyone except SpongeBob performs badly. She delivers Squidward his clarinet, which has been locked by the music police, and is unable to open it. As everyone else plays, Mrs. Sturgeon hands Squidward other instruments he can try, which he plays badly, until she resorts to giving him a broom to practice his fingering.
When Squidward gets his clarinet back, he plays a music tornado that blows Mrs. Sturgeon away. She manages to pull a music alarm in the classroom, summoning the music police. They destroy Squidward's clarinet and when he cries and blows his nose, he discovers his talent for playing the nose flute. Mrs. Sturgeon then declares him the most improved student in the class and watches him perform at Jellyfish Fields.
