Oceanic Express
The Oceanic Express is a large express train. It appears in the episodes "The Great Patty Caper" and "The Night Patty."
Description
The train consists of a black 4-6-4 "Hudson" type steam engine with a black coal tender, some green passenger cars, and a red caboose at the end of the train. A first-class dining car is onboard this train as well.
Role in series
"The Great Patty Caper"
It is the train that SpongeBob and Patrick take to Far-Out-Ville so that they can bring the Krabby Patty Secret Formula back to the Krusty Krab. However, when Plankton separates the coal tender, coaches and caboose from the runaway engine, SpongeBob and Patrick end up falling into the engine room where they accidentally break the brake and send the train engine out of control.
They nearly crash into the Rest Home, but manage to stop the burning engine and bring it back to their original destination. They then crash the overheated train engine into the bank and stop Plankton from stealing the formula.
"The Night Patty"
The train is first seen delivering the midnight rush to the Krusty Krab. It is later seen again at the end of the episode driven by Patrick, who orders some Night Patties while riding in the engine room of the engine.

- This train is very freelanced and doesn't seem to be based off of a steam train engine in real life, but it is possible that it's most likely based on the New York Central J1a Hudson because of the train's similar design. However, the name is more than likely a reference to the real life Orient Express.
- The titles of both episodes that it appears in begin or consist of the word "The" followed by a word ending with the letter T and then the word "Patty."
- The whistle comes from Frisco 1522's CB&Q 5 chime whistle.
