The parakeet is a small bird who appears in Sandy's dream in the episode "Sleepy Time."
Description
The parakeet shown in the episode is a species of bird that has light green feathers, blue eyes, a red beak, and brown feet.
Role in episode
The parakeet is briefly seen during Sandy's dream sequence when SpongeBob holds it out while he and Sandy are falling from the sky. SpongeBob thinks Sandy said to bring a parakeet when she actually meant a parachute. However, SpongeBob cannot hear correctly due to the rate at which they are falling.

- It is theorized that SpongeBob owns this parakeet, even though it hasn't appeared in any episodes outside of "Sleepy Time." It is unknown how SpongeBob got or keeps the parakeet or how it interacts with Gary or Shelley.
