[An open shot of the Dinghy Cabin is shown. Squidward is heard humming, and he opens the cabin door in swimwear. He walks over to the lake, places his towel down, and does some stretching. He jumps into the lake, but is interrupted by Mrs. Puff blowing a whistle. He drops into the lake.]
Mrs. Puff: [on megaphone, on top of lighthouse] Attention, campers! Lake Yuckymuck is now open for swimmers!
Squidward: [face planted in the water, looks up] Huh?
[Several campers are getting ready to go into the lake, and they all jump in.]
Mo: Cannonball!
Squidward: [screaming as the campers splash near him]
Bubble Bass: [jumps into the air, laughing as his butt is shown]
Squidward: [looks up] Huh? [Bubble Bass' butt catches on fire] [frantically tries to dodge Bubble Bass, screams as he lands on him]
[An explosion occurs, which leaves Squidward dizzy, making him sink into the water.]
Mrs. Puff: [on lighthouse, on megaphone] Perch Perkins, no microphones in the water! Mo, put down the boulder! Fred, watch out for-- [hits head with the megaphone, then blows whistle] Everybody, hold it! [everyone is still swimming, but then stop after they hear megaphone feedback] Let me explain the rules of the lake to you again. [pointing to an anchovy running on the dock] No running! [pointing to an anchovy screaming as an urchin is on his butt] No yelling! [pointing to a girl about to dive into the lake] No diving! [Kevin is splashing in the lake] No splashing! [Kevin stops splashing] [Elwood is seen without his swim trunks, which are floating next to him] No finny dipping! And the most important rule of all, no sinking! Who knows what could happen to you at the bottom of the lake? [eye pops out of megaphone] You need to stay where I can see you. Got it?!
Campers: Yes, Mrs. Puff. [all continue playing as usual]
Mrs. Puff: [sighs]
[Pan over to SpongeBob, Patrick, and Sandy in swimwear running away from an explosion, laughing.]
Sandy: Whoo-ee! Nothing more invigoratin' than a swim around the ol' camp pond!
SpongeBob: Oh yeah.
Sandy: Last one in the lake's a hairy armadillo! [jumps into the lake] Whoo!
SpongeBob: [jumps in the lake as well]
[Sandy uses her thumbs to squirt SpongeBob with water. SpongeBob laughs, then his mouth gets filled up with water. Sandy laughs, then gets hit with water from SpongeBob's holes. They both laugh.]
Patrick: [still on dock, scared] Oh no, I don't wanna.
SpongeBob: What's wrong, Patrick? [gesturing] Come on it.
Sandy: [floating on the water] Yeah, the water's jim dandy like sweet candy.
Patrick: Oh, candy? Okay, I'll do it! [jumps into the air, whooping] Candy! [SpongeBob wipes a tear off his eye] [Patrick hits the water surface face first, making some clams fly away]
SpongeBob and Sandy: [wincing] Oh!
Patrick: [sinks]
SpongeBob: Patrick?
Sandy: He sunk faster than a tractor in a mud puddle.
SpongeBob: [screaming] Ahh! That's the most important rule! No sinking! [he and Sandy go underwater to call for Patrick] Patrick!
Sandy: Come on up, little feller!
Patrick: [frantically splashing] I'm okay! I'm okay! No wait, that's not it. Help! [sinks again, and goes back up, catching the attention of Mrs. Puff]
Mrs. Puff: Oh! [rips off her clothes to reveal a lifeguard suit] Gah! [jumps from the lighthouse, inflating] [deflates mid-air, diving into the lake]
SpongeBob and Sandy: [looking scared]
Mrs. Puff: [comes out holding Patrick in her arms] Gah!
SpongeBob and Sandy: Woo! Way to go, Mrs. Puff!
Mrs. Puff: [slams Patrick onto the shore] [shaking Patrick] Wake up! [slapping Patrick] Wake up, darn you!
SpongeBob: No, no, Mrs. Puff, he's already awake!
Mrs. Puff: Right. [chuckles] Camper Patrick, how in the deep blue seahorse did you get your swimming badge?
Patrick: [holding up a shell] It was easy. [opens shell to reveal a fake swim badge] I made it myself.
Mrs. Puff: Of course you did. I'm afraid campers without a real swimming badge are only [picks up Patrick by the head] allowed in... [sets Patrick in a pool with Pearl] the Pollywog Pool.
Patrick: What? No! [crying] But I don't want to be with the babies! [Pearl has her arms crossed, unamused]
Mrs. Puff: [sighs] If you would like, I'll teach you how to swim.
Patrick: [Pearl patting him on the back, then stops crying] Yay!
[Bubble transition to Mrs. Puff trying to teach Patrick how to swim. Patrick is holding a boogie board. Mrs. Puff is holding onto him and lets him go, making Patrick sink. Patrick takes the board and sinks all the way to the bottom. Mrs. Puff swims down to him. Cut to Mrs. Puff having Patrick swim in a bird bath. Somehow, Patrick sinks into it.]
Mrs. Puff: Oh! [turns the bird bath upside down, releasing all the water and Patrick from it. Some clams fly out as well.]
[Clam transition to Patrick holding the boogie board on land. Patrick sinks through the ground.]
Mrs. Puff: Huh? [grabs a rope from the nearby dock and uses it to lasso Patrick and pull him from within the sand] [throws Patrick onto the dock] Now don't move. Let me think. I could tie him to a buoy. [pacing] No. Fill him with helium. Possibly. Surgically attach an outboard motor? [Patrick starts drooling] No, too messy. [Patrick sinks through his own drool] Ah! [pulls Patrick up] No, you don't, camper!
[Cut to Mrs. Puff dropping Patrick into the Pollywog Pool. Pearl offers Patrick her pacifier, and he takes it and starts sucking on it. Bubble transition to Patrick still sucking on the pacifier, and Sandy and SpongeBob rise from the pool.]
SpongeBob: [hand on Patrick's shoulder] Don't worry, Patrick. Someday you'll be an expert at swimming.
Patrick: I'm just a expert at sinking. [continues sucking on pacifier]
Sandy: Well, if Patrick can't have fun with us on the surface, we'll just have to have fun with him on the bottom of Lake Yuckymuck.
SpongeBob: [confused, pointing downward] On the bottom?
Sandy: Of course! You're already under water. What's a little more? [pointing at SpongeBob] Sea critters like you can breathe under water.
SpongeBob and Patrick: We can?
Sandy: [laughs] Of course you can! You're breathing it right now.
SpongeBob and Patrick: [dip their heads under the water to breathe, then rise back up] [cheering] We can!
SpongeBob: [pointing] But what about you Sandy?
Sandy: Don't worry your pretty little holes over me. [knocks hand against helmet] I got my trusty dive helmet.
SpongeBob: But what about Mrs. Puff's no sinking rule?
Patrick: [blowing raspberry onto SpongeBob] That rule was written by floaters.
[Bubble transition to SpongeBob, Patrick, and Sandy hiding behind some rocks]
Sandy: [shushing]
Mrs. Puff: [pan over to her watching from the lighthouse] Hmm. [turns around] Hmm. [sees Elwood finny dipping again] Mm! [blows whistle] [on megaphone] Elwood! I told you, no finny dipping.
[In the distance, SpongeBob, Patrick, and Sandy all carry a boat and ride it on the lake. Sandy pulls a cork out of the boat, making it sink. They all laugh as they go underwater.]
Sandy: Hmm. [boat lands on the ocean floor]
SpongeBob: We made it!
Sandy: [throws anchor] Party on the bottom of Lake Yuckymuck!
SpongeBob, Patrick, and Sandy: Yay!
[SpongeBob, Patrick, and Sandy are all playing volleyball underwater.]
Sandy: [serves volleyball]
Patrick: [hits volleyball back]
SpongeBob: [tries to hit the volleyball, but it hits his face]
[Bubble transition to the trio having a picnic underwater.]
Sandy: [opens picnic basket, and food floats up]
SpongeBob, Patrick, and Sandy: Huh?
Patrick: [swims upward, then Sandy follows]
SpongeBob: Oh! [laughs along with Sandy]
[Bubble transition to the trio bowing down in karate gear.]
Sandy: Ah.
Patrick: [opens one eye, then thrusts forward] Whee!
SpongeBob: [raises arm] Yah!
Sandy: [jumps] Yah! [SpongeBob punches her backwards]
SpongeBob: Hiyah! [gets hit by Sandy]
Patrick: Hiyah! [gets hit by SpongeBob]
SpongeBob, Patrick, and Sandy: [laughing, floating backwards]
[Bubble transition to Sandy underwater.]
Sandy: Whoo-wee! [grabs a fiddle and starts playing music, and they all laugh]
[Pan upwards to Larry in the lake. He sees bubbles coming from inside the lake. Bubble Bass is nearby.]
Larry: Say, what's with the bubbles?
Bubble Bass: [sniffing] Those aren't mine.
Larry: [both listening to music] Huh? Music?
Bubble Bass: From the deep?
Harvey: [pointing] It must be an alien radio station.
Larry: [dips head underwater] Hmm? [sees SpongeBob, Patrick, and Sandy dancing underwater] It's not aliens. It's those kids from the Dinghy Cabin. They're having a dance party.
Bubble Bass: A party? Why wasn't I invited? There must be a clerical error!
Upturn: [appearing next to them] An Upturn needs no invite. [holds nose and dives in the water]
Rea and Roh: [humming, swimming]
Larry: [whispering] Hey guys, SpongeBob's having a dance party on the bottom of the lake. Pass it on!
Rea and Roh: [to Tall Tail] Dance patty on the bottom of the lake. Pass it on! [both dive in water]
Tall Tail: [to anchovies] Dance party. Lake bottom. Pass it on!
Anchovies: Meep, meep! [dive in water] Meep meep, party. [other campers swim behind them, and they land on the bottom]
[All of the campers are dancing on the bottom of the lake.]
Patrick: I like swimming! [laughs]
[Pan over to Mrs. Puff standing on the dock with Elwood. A tumbleweed rolls on the lake.]
Mrs. Puff: That's odd. Did you see where the other campers went, Elwood? [Elwood's shorts are falling to the ground] [splashing is heard] Uh, Elwood? Elwood?! [uses her binoculars to see Elwood waving as he sinks] [yells] [rowing in boat] Don't worry, campers! Mrs. Puff is on her way! [jumps into the water, swimming downward]
SpongeBob: [dancing] All right! Yeah! [gets taken by Mrs. Puff]
Mrs. Puff: [holding onto SpongeBob] Stay calm, SpongeBob. Mrs. Puff is here to rescue you.
SpongeBob: [confused] Rescue me? Rescue me from what?
Mrs. Puff: From sinking to the [lets go of SpongeBob] bottom of the lake!
SpongeBob: Huh? Oh, we don't need rescuing. We're having a dance party.
Mrs. Puff: Huh? [gets pulled by Patrick] Oh!
Patrick: Yeah! [dancing with Mrs. Puff] Let's boogie down, Mrs. P! [twirls Mrs. Puff away]
Mrs. Puff: Oh, thank Neptune you're safe! Hold on. You're having a dance party?
SpongeBob: Uh-huh. We sunk ourselves on purpose.
Patrick: Yeah, on porpoise.
Mrs. Puff: You did it on purpose? For a dance party? [angrily] Didn't I tell you the most important rule of the lake is no sinking?
SpongeBob, Patrick, and Sandy: [nervous] Oh, yeah.
Mrs. Puff: [inhales, sucking all of the water from the lake as the campers keep dancing]
Campers: Huh? [start flopping on land]
Mrs. Puff: [growling] Huh? [camera zooms out to reveal she is now gigantic] [scoops up the campers and puts them all in the Pollywog Pool] That'll keep all of you where I can see you. [Pearl laughs] Hold on. Where's Patrick?
Patrick: [swimming inside Mrs. Puff's stomach] Hey, Mrs. Puff! I think I'm finally getting the hang of this swimming thing!
Mrs. Puff: I think-- I think I'm gonna be sick.
