Pet rocks
Pet rocks are rocks that Patrick, Squidward, and SpongeBob treat as pets. They first appear in the episode "The Great Snail Race."
Description
Rocky
Rocky is a pet rock owned sometimes by Patrick, which he obliviously enters in the snail race in the episode "The Great Snail Race," thinking it to be a snail. He even wins the race in the end despite it apparently not being sentient.
Squidward's pet rocks
The episode "Once Bitten" reveals that Squidward has a pet rock collection, which Gary covers in slime. Like some of Patrick's pet rocks, they too have googly eyes. They also are in many shapes, sizes, and colors.
Pete the Rock
Pete is a pet rock given to Patrick by SpongeBob in the episode "Sentimental Sponge." SpongeBob plans on throwing it away until Patrick informs him of its sentimental value.
SpongeBob's pet rock
In the episode "The Googly Artiste," SpongeBob creates a googly-eyed pet rock as a guide for Patrick to make one for himself.
Patrick's googly pet rocks
Patrick's googly pet rock appears in the episode "The Googly Artiste." He makes it using a lot of googly eyes and uses glue to stick them on the rock. He sells them off as art.
Rolly
In the episode "Pet the Rock," Patrick wants a pet, so he buys what he thinks is a rock, and names it Rolly. However, at the end of the episode, it is revealed that Rolly is an egg, and he hatches into a humongous dinosaur.
