Sand gargoyles

The sand gargoyles are two gargoyles made of sand who appear in the episode "Sand Castles in the Sand."

Description

They sit on overhangs on SpongeBob's sand castle. Their feet cling onto the edges of the ledges and they face downward.

Role in episode

For most of the episode during which SpongeBob's big sand castle is intact, the sand gargoyles simply stand on their positions. When Patrick is about to bomb SpongeBob's sand castle, the gargoyles wake up, with one of them saying that they need to get out of there, in which they both get up and fly away from the sand castle, right before it explodes.
