The sand knight is a sand version of a knight who appears in the episode "Sand Castles in the Sand" and the online game Sand Castle Hassle.
Description
They all have long spears, armor, a helmet, and ride sand horses.
Function
They do not actually move or do any knight-like things in the episode; they simply just sit in their positions in front of Patrick's sand castle.
Role in series
"Sand Castles in the Sand"
When SpongeBob tells Patrick to bring it on since Patrick thinks he can destroy the former's castle. Patrick builds an army of sand knights on sand horses. SpongeBob tells him he is just trying to be the nice guy, but Patrick tells him he started it. SpongeBob leaves him alone, but then he builds a sand catapult and destroys all of the sand knights with the sand catapult.
Sand Castle Hassle
They can be spawned by the player by dropping sand onto the ground. When placed, they act as a shield against enemies.
