Synopsis
SpongeBob asks Squidward if he notices anything special about him today. Squidward points out that SpongeBob is missing one of his shoes. SpongeBob talks about his lucky hat instead, confident that he will win a hot dog-eating contest and become famous, with the grand prize being hat polish.
SpongeBob arrives at the contest, only for Patrick to tell him that he cannot enter, due to missing a shoe. He walks away crying and falls into a hole, ending up in a cave also containing his lost shoe. As he reaches out to grab it, he is startled by the mysterious blind cave fish, who gives him a choice between the shoe and a magical hot dog.
SpongeBob shows Squidward his new lucky hat, being a hot dog. Squidward does not notice and receives a postcard from Patrick, the winner of the contest.
