Template:ColorSig/doc

This is a documentation subpage for Template:ColorSig (see that page for the template itself).
It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page.

This is a simple tricolor signature template. You do not need permission to use it.

If you want a more complex signature, you can request one here.

Usage

Explanation

Username: Your username or a recognizable nickname for your username. Remember from ESB:Signature policy that you must include some version of your actual username in your signature.
BGColor: Background color.

Username^M·C·E Optional timestamp

BColor: Border color. Also applies to the dividers between user subpage links.

FColor: Font color. Also applies to the optional timestamp.

TS: Optional timestamp. You can leave this out if you do not want a timestamp option in your signature. If you do, set it as {{{1|}}}, and when you sign, you can add |~~~~~ between your signature template name and the closing brackets. For example, if your signature template is {{ExampleUser}}, you would sign with {{ExampleUser|~~~~~}} to include a timestamp.
