The Money Tree

Plot

At the Krusty Krab, SpongeBob experiments with new Krabby Patty recipes, but none of them meet Mr. Krabs' expectations. Frustrated by the failures and the cost of wasted ingredients, Mr. Krabs laments that money doesn't grow on trees.

Meanwhile, Squidward informs Mr. Krabs about a customer refusing to pay for their large order of Krabby Patties and sodas. When confronted, the customer offers a map to an ancient money tree in exchange for their payment. Tempted by the idea of unlimited wealth, Mr. Krabs eagerly accepts the map, only for the customer to mysteriously disappear.

Excited by the opportunity, Mr. Krabs and SpongeBob embark on a long and treacherous journey to find the tree. After crossing a 1,025-mile ravine, they finally reach their destination—only to discover that the money tree's dollars are actually worthless play money. Mr. Krabs is devastated, but SpongeBob takes a bite of one of the money leaves and finds them to be edible and delicious. Seeing a new business opportunity,

Mr. Krabs collects the edible money leaves and brings them back to the Krusty Krab to sell as a new Krabby Patty variant—turning his misfortune into profit.
