[The episode begins with Karen rolling around camp, searching for lightning berries.]
Karen: [singing] Lightning berries, lightning berries, I'm scanning for lightning berries for dear old Mr. Plankton.
[Karen splits some seaweed and sees a ball of lightning berries. A choir sings.]
Karen: [her screen reads "BINGO"] Bingo!
[Karen grabs a lightning berry, then hears a vacuum sound. It is Patrick, who has eaten all of the lightning berries. Patrick reaches into his throat and grabs the stem of the bush and throws it away, then sits down doing nothing. He gets electrocuted by the lightning berries, then he laughs.]
Karen: Oh, Camper Patrick! I can't believe you ate all the lightning berries!
Patrick: Huh? Who said that? [looks at Karen] Oh, is that my hat? [picks Karen up]
Karen: No, wait just a sec-[Patrick puts Karen on his head before she can finish] Whoa!
[Patrick and Karen both get electrocuted.]
French Narrator: Lightning berries, and Karen's computer circuitry: a potent combination which results in a shocking mind switch. A common occurrence here in... [logo appears] The Tidal Zone.
[Patrick and Karen have swapped bodies. Patrick, now in Karen's body, rolls away, laughing. Karen, now in Patrick's body, scoots away. The scene switches to SpongeBob and Plankton.]
SpongeBob: And then Sandy said "Yeah!", and Harvey goes "Yeah!" and then Kevin said "Yeah!" [laughs] Everybody was saying "yeah!"!
Plankton: Enough! Why are you talking to me?
SpongeBob: [gets closer with a creepy smile] I'm making memories. [zooms out to show his face is small]
Plankton: Well, remember this! [punches SpongeBob in the face] Karen! Ooh, there she is! [jumps on the ground next to Patrick] Where the heck have you been? And where are those lightning berries I asked you for?
Patrick: I ate them.
Plankton: What are you talking about? You know you don't eat! [jumps on Patrick] Now take me home. [Patrick spins around and then zooms away]
[Karen is still scooting on the ground.]
SpongeBob: Oh, hey buddy! Come on, we're late! [pulls Karen]
[SpongeBob dodges a skateboarder, then hits another.]
SpongeBob: Ooh. Whoa, golly. Oh, sweet ride! You really know how to live! [Karen collides into SpongeBob and both roll down the hill and land in their cabin. Sandy is setting up a board game.]
Sandy: Howdy, boys! You're just in time! I'm almost done settin' up the game!
[Karen gets off of the skateboard, then gets up and looks in the mirror.]
Karen: [in thought] Woah! What the heck? [her eyes scan the mirror with blue beams] My mind must have switched with Patrick's mind from the lightning berries! [touches body] Flesh and blood and guts! [shakes Patrick's belly and gasps] I've gone analog! [tries to walk, but flops around] Whoa! [groans] So these are legs? Whoa, whoa. A living body isn't so hard to control. [dances around]
[Squidward opens the cabin door.]
Squidward: [seeing Karen dance] Huh?
Karen: [in thought] I think I got this! [vocalizes]
[Squidward closes the door. Karen jumps down to SpongeBob and Sandy, who have set up a board game.]
Karen: [in thought] Whoop!
SpongeBob: All ready to play!
[Karen sits down.]
Sandy: This here's the toughest board game I ever invented. In order to win, you need to know [appears in front of backgrounds] math, science, literature, and history.
[Karen rolls the dice and moves. Sandy pulls a card for her.]
Sandy: What's the square root of 25,553,025?
Karen: [eyes turn into binary and whirr] 5,055. [shakes dice]
SpongeBob: Huh?
Sandy: What?
[Karen moves her piece. Sandy pulls another card.]
Sandy: Uh, the increase in speed of a liquid...
Karen: The law of fluid dynamics. [rolls dice, eyes whirr] Post-structuralism. [SpongeBob pulls a card in confusion] 395 AD. The sinking of Atlantis. [moves piece to the end of the board] I win!
SpongeBob and Sandy: Huh?
[SpongeBob's face explodes, revealing his skull, and Sandy's dome explodes. Bubble transition to Plankton and Patrick going down into Plankton's secret lab. Plankton holds a glowing green apple.]
Plankton: [angry] That's great, Karen! Real great! Now, I'll have to substitute radioactive apples... [climbs table] for the lightning berries.
[Patrick laughs and hits stuff around the room. He collides with a mirror.]
Patrick: [in thought] Huh? Is that me? I'm a rollie shoe now? Cool! [rides off] Leedle, leedle, leedle, leedle, leedle.
[Plankton pushes the apple onto the table]
Patrick: Leedle, le-- [sees seesaw] Ooh, ramp! [rides off] Ooh-hoo-hoo! [laughs]
Plankton: Oh, my Neptune!
[Patrick almost lands on the apple. Plankton pulls it away.]
Plankton: Watch it! [the apple burns his hand] Ow! [shakes hand to cool it down] Stop fooling around and help me cut this open! Hand me a scalpel.
Patrick: [repeatedly slaps hand into tray] Huh? Huh. [reaches for scalpel] Let me... [gets it, laughs] I got it!
Plankton: Now hand it to me.
[Patrick accidentally slices Plankton open. He screams and splits apart. His two halves run around.]
Plankton: Ow, ow, ow, ow! [zips self up and sees Patrick spinning] Careful! That's full of sulfuric... [Patrick knocks it over and runs away] acid!
[Plankton screams as his limbs burn in the acid and his bones are exposed. His eyeball falls out and burns up as well.]
Plankton: Alright, [takes out drill] time for a robot reboot.
[Patrick slides away, knocking over a pot of water and accidentally triggering the lift out of the lab.]
Plankton: Get back here!
[He jumps after Patrick, but slips in the water. The drill lands on his head and twists it. Back in the cabin, Karen is stretching and exercising.]
Sandy: What's gotten into you, Patrick?
SpongeBob: You don't seem like yourself today.
Karen: Well, I'm not myself. I'm Karen, Plankton's computer assistant in Patrick's body. Our minds got switched when we were both electrified by lightning berries. [shows a computer chip in his head]
Sandy: Hot diggity dog! A mind switch!
SpongeBob: [gasps]
Sandy: [pushes against her] Let's analyze! What's it like?
Karen: [pushes Sandy away, lengthening her arms] Well, being in Patrick's body has opened up senses that I never had, like taste. [wraps tongue around head]
SpongeBob: [takes doughnut out of head] Here, try a doughnut.
[Karen unwraps her tongue around her head and SpongeBob drops the donut on it. As she eats, a "TASTE LOADING" bar loads in her eyes. When it completes, an explosion appears, and donuts rain down.]
Karen: Aaah! That's delicious! [sees something] Hey, what's this taste like? [eats pillow, vacuum whirring] That tastes pretty good too! [burps out feathers]
SpongeBob: Wow!
[Sandy writes on her chalkboard. Karen runs out of the cabin.]
Karen: Are there more things to ingest out here? [stubs her toe on a rock and screams, then runs around wildly] What's happening to me!?
SpongeBob: That's called "pain."
Karen: Ooh. Whoa. [looks at her injured foot] Pain. Fascinating. Ooh! Come on! Kick me for more pain!
[SpongeBob and Sandy hesitate, but continue hurting Karen, who enjoys it.]
Karen: Ow, ow, ow! [laughing]
[Patrick runs out of the kitchen, to Plankton's annoyance.]
Patrick: Whoo-hoo!
Plankton: [holding drill] Get back here! [groans]
[Patrick runs past a table of two campers, and Bubble Bass, having lunch. As he drives past, he launches the food in the first two campers' faces and into Bubble Bass's mouth.]
Patrick: Make way for the rollie shoe! [laughing]
Plankton: Nothing to see here! Go back to your childhoods! [whirrs drill]
[SpongeBob and Sandy stand outside the outhouse, which flushes. Sandy knocks on the door.]
Sandy: You okay in there, Karen?
Karen: [gasps and groans] Sense of smell, not so great. Phew, well, it's been interesting, but all in all, I'll be happy to be back in my old computer self.
Sandy: [takes out a device with two seashells connected] Ooh, I rigged up this device that I think will switch you and Patrick's minds back. I call it the [her pupils switch eyes] crisscross contraption.
[Patrick rides by, knocking the three over.]
Karen: That's my body! We have to swap our minds back!
Patrick: What are you talking about? I'm a rollie shoe. Rollie shoe forever! [whinnies like a horse and takes off]
Karen: Not a chance! [points to self] I'm rollie shoe!
[Karen dashes off, leaving SpongeBob and Sandy spinning. They chase after the two. They pass Mr. Krabs, who is walking Pearl. Karen steals Pearl's stroller and rides in it. Plankton sucks her pacifier as they roll down a hill and knock down campers like bowling pins. GrandPat goes by on his scooter.]
GrandPat: [grumbling]
[Patrick continues driving and SpongeBob, Plankton, Karen, and Plankton give chase. Patrick goes behind the general store.]
Karen: Hey, over there!
[The chase continues with them popping out of various places and trying to catch each other. They run into clones of themselves and scream, heading in opposite directions. Eventually, SpongeBob, Sandy, and Plankton are tired out and stop by a sign. Patrick taunts them.]
Patrick: [laughs] You can't catch the rollie shoe! [blows raspberry]
Karen: Okay, Patrick. [takes out ice cream sundae from bellybutton] I was saving this for my last meal with tastebuds, but you win. [places it down] So here you go.
Patrick: Ice cream! [jumps in, but can't eat it with a spoon] I can't taste it! I have no mouth and I must ice cream! This is a nightmare! [cries out an audit paper] I don't want to be a rollie shoe anymore!
[Sandy takes out her device and puts it on Karen's and Patrick's heads.]
Sandy: [pressing device] Here goes nothing!
[They scream as they are electrocuted.]
SpongeBob, Plankton, and Sandy: [lean in] Whoa!
[Karen and Patrick sit down after being shocked. Karen removes the device from her head.]
Plankton: Karen, is that you?
Karen: Duhhh!
Plankton: [groans] It didn't work! You're still that pink pinhead!
Karen: [normal voice] Gotcha!
Plankton: [groans] Why did I give you a sense of humor?
Karen: [picks him up] Come on. Let's go home. [rides off]
Plankton: Whee!
Sandy: All's well that ends well. Right, Patrick?
[Patrick, still wearing the mind switcher, eats the sundae and dumps it all over his head.]
Patrick: Ice cream! Gimme, gimme, gimme! [gets shocked]
Sandy: That's peculiar.
[The other part of the switcher is placed on the ground. A shockwave travels across the camp, shocking everyone and switching their minds with Patrick. The device explodes. Patrick wakes up.]
Patrick: Leedle, leedle, leedle, lee. Hey, I'm me again. Guys?
[Sandy tries to eat ice cream with her helmet, and SpongeBob flicks his nose.]
SpongeBob: Leedle, leedle, leedle, lee.
[Patrick sees the rest of the campers acting stupid.]
Campers: Leedle, leedle, leedle, leedle, leedle, leedle!
Patrick: Hey, new Patricks! Wait for me!
[The campers run around and carry Patrick.]
Patrick and campers: [run around] Leedle, leedle, leedle, leedle, leedle, lee!
[The French Narrator rises from the water.]
French Narrator: [French accent] Ah, summer camp, where each child is unique in their own individual way. [laughter] Except for this one time in Kamp Koral and this one place.
[GrandPat comes out of his helmet, heading towards the screen.]
GrandPat: Hey, what is this? "The Tidal Zone?"
