Iosif Meta (Russian name: Иосифом Meta. Ukrainian name: Йосипом Meta; born 13 June 1957) is a Russian worker from RTR Planeta (since 2003). He is the third child and only son of Mikhail (July 23, 1895 – February 6, 1989) and Raisa (nee Rasputin, April 1, 1926 – April 1, 2015). Meta has two sisters; both of them died before their mother. Meta's father was a preacher for the churches in Russia from 1948 until 1984. His mother worked as a nurse and later on, a ballet teacher from 1965 until 2007. From 1981 to 1992, Meta worked as a newspaper critic. He earned 5 Russian Rubles (.08 cents in US money) a day. In 2000, he won 6 million Russian Rubles after making a Russian meal for Boris Yeltsin. On July 18, 2003, Meta joined RTR Planeta. He made 125 Russian Rubles ($1.52 in US money) from 2003 until 2009. Since 2010, Meta has been making 250 Russian Rubles because he so hard during his time with RTR. Meta has been married to his wife Carol (born February 19, 1960) since May 17, 1980. They have two sons, Mikhail II (born June 9, 1981) and Vladmir (born August 8, 1988) and two grandchildren, Christopher (born March 19, 2008) and Carol (born July 9, 2010), both through Mikhail and his wife Christine. Meta's grandchildren calls him, "Papa."
