2024 UPDATE: I probably won't ever be truly active on this wiki again (and even my Discord activity is declining). I'll always appreciate what it did for me, though, and I'm glad to see that in terms of mainspace editing, ESB is probably the highest quality that it's ever been.
Also, I would like to retract my statement about "loving the entire show". I do still like the majority of the first twelve seasons, but season 13 was pretty underwhelming due to its emphasis on pandering to both past episodes and to the spinoffs without offering much else. It also felt far slower paced than usual and misunderstood the characters' personalities quite frequently. Season 14 is also looking REALLY bad in my opinion and has basically turned these problems up to 11. I haven't even bothered with Kamp Koral, but based on what I've heard about it, it's just unnecessary. The board driven episodes of The Patrick Star Show have been pretty decent, though. I probably won't be adding my ratings here anymore, but if anyone was interested in my thoughts on the "spinoff era" of the show, uhh... there you go. Not a huge fan of it.
Ahoy-er-er, I'm PlanKrab, and welcome to the Krusty Bucket... er, my user page! I didn't truly get into the SpongeBob SquarePants series until December 2017, which is when I discovered Encyclopedia SpongeBobia. As a kid, I played a few SBSP video games, like Battle for Bikini Bottom and the movie game. I also caught some episodes on TV in 2009 or 2010, but for some reason, they didn't get me hooked. Seeing people discussing it on ESB over seven years later (as well as seeing SpongeBob memes everywhere) is what really got me to say "Hey, why have I never actually watched this show?!". I caught up on the first ten seasons throughout 2018 and also started tuning into the premieres for season 11. The first ones I watched live were part of the I ♥ SpongeBob week. At the time, I thought season 11 was going in a strange direction, and I noticed that a lot of people on ESB agreed. I considered joining in the summer of 2018 to express those thoughts, but I didn't. I believe it was because I couldn't think of a good username. I almost wish that I did join in 2018, because I probably would've spent more time here.
I finally did finally join the wiki in September 2019, soon after season 12's The Krusty Bucket aired. I credit that episode as the reason I joined ESB and got to meet so many cool people over the past 2-3 years. SpongeBob SquarePants is probably my favorite cartoon of all time because of its unique style, its amazing characters, animation, and humor, its ability to change with time, and even because of its influence on my own social life. SpongeBob helped me grow as a person and connect with new people both online and in person, and it always helps me through the toughest moments in my life. I'm not ashamed to admit that I will always love this show even as I enter adulthood. And yes, I love the entire show, not just the first three seasons! Not every episode is a winner, but in my opinion, the good episodes overpower the bad ones tenfold, and there are several episodes worth watching in every single season from the very first one all the way to the current thirteenth season.
As for my status on this wiki... well I haven't done a whole lot ever since FANDOM updated to UCP in October 2020. I've always mainly been a social user. I tried editing articles back in 2019, but I could never really get the hang of it. Whenever I did something, usually someone made it look better. I highly respect the people who do contribute to this wiki frequently, though, because as far as I know, it's the best place for SpongeBob information on the internet. Anyway, in 2019 and 2020 I used forums, blogs, message walls, article comments, and chat frequently with my new friends. UCP changed all of that and integrated everything to discussions, which I found very messy and dull in comparison. That UCP update, combined with getting a busier personal life as I grew older, caused me to drift away from this wiki, but I will never truly leave (and I still talk to almost everyone I met here on Discord). I may get into editing mainspace someday, since I haven't tried it in years, but for now I will remain "semi-active".
