User:Robski10/BSponge's Big Sister Sam rant with pictures
Appearance
NOTE: THIS IS A WIP
-
So, you might have seen from my ratings so far that my thoughts on a good amount of season 7 episodes have changed,
-
mostly for the positive.
-
This season has a fair amount of guilty pleasures I enjoy, and to be honest, I got enjoyment out of watching season 7 as a whole.
-
And then, we have this episode, Big Sister Sam.
-
My thoughts have not changed on this one at all.
-
I really hate this episode, so much. I hate just about everything in this episode.
-
So, this episode starts with Patrick giving a solemn backstory about his sister Sam.
-
You might be thinking,
-
so Patrick hasn't seen his sister for a long time,
-
so does their reunion turn out to be heartwarming?
-
NOPE!
-
Immediately on our first glance of Sam, we know that she's a one-dimensional brute of a character.
-
In this episode, Sam's character is just shown to cause destruction, and very little else.
-
It gives very little meaning to the backstory earlier since Sam is not an interesting character in the slightest.
-
This continues when Patrick introduces Sam to SpongeBob,
-
and SpongeBob touching Patrick is apparently enough for Sam to fling him out of sight, and Patrick doesn't give a crap afterwards.
-
It's at this moment I know that not only Sam is going to be unlikable in this episode, but so is Patrick.
-
We see here that Patrick cares more about his sister he hasn't seen in a while than his best friend that he sees nearly everyday.
