The tale of a season 14 episode that was scheduled to premiere in the UK and Ireland, pulled, shadow-dropped, rerun, and then pulled again. The critically-acclaimed[citation needed], "In the Mood to Feud."

Timeline

  • 24th June 2024 - Nickelodeon publishes their schedules for July, with "PL-1413" and "In the Mood to Feud" scheduled to premiere on the 18th of July at 4:30pm, with an overnight repeat listed for 1:25am.[1][2]
  • It was also scheduled to be repeated on the 19th of July at 8:45am,[3] the 25th of July at 4:42pm,[4] and the 4th of August at 3:15pm.[5]
  • 4th July 2024 - Nickelodeon updates their schedules for the 18th of July and the 19th of July. The premieres on the 18th of July are changed so "PL-1413" is now paired with a rerun of "We ♥ Hoops," the overnight repeat is replaced with both "We ♥ Hoops" and "SpongeChovy." The "In the Mood to Feud" airing on the 25th of July was not pulled however.[6]
  • The repeat at 8:45am on the 19th of July was also replaced with "We ♥ Hoops," as was a repeat listed for the 4th of August at 3:15pm, although I am unsure when this change was made as the 4th of August schedule was updated on both the 4th of July and the 23rd.[7]
  • 18th July 2024 - "In the Mood to Feud" is added to Paramount+ in the UK and Ireland, despite not airing on Nickelodeon.
  • 23rd July 2024 - The "In the Mood to Feud" airing on the 25th of July at 4:42pm is replaced with a repeat of "We ♥ Hoops."[7][8]
  • 21st October 2024 - Nickelodeon publishes a schedule for the 16th of November with "In the Mood to Feud" scheduled to air at 5:45pm.[9]
  • 16th November 2024 - "In the Mood to Feud" premieres on Nickelodeon.[10]
  • 27th November 2024 - "PL-1413" airs paired with "The Other Patty."[11]
  • 16th December 2024 - Nickelodeon publishes a schedule for the 15th of January 2025, with "In the Mood to Feud" scheduled to air at 11am.[12]
  • 6th January 2025 - Nickelodeon publishes more schedules, with "In the Mood to Feud" scheduled to air on the 24th of February at 2:45pm, the 25th of February at 5:30am, and the 1st of March at 8:31am.
  • 15th January 2025 - "In the Mood to Feud" airs on Nickelodeon.[13]
  • No edits were present in this airing.
  • 12th February 2025 - Nickelodeon updates the schedule for the 1st of March. "PL-1413" and "In the Mood to Feud" are replaced with "Accidents Will Happen" and "The Other Patty."[14][15] Despite this, the airings for the 24th and 25th of February were still listed.
  • 24th February 2025 - "In the Mood to Feud" was still scheduled to air at 2:45pm.[16] Despite this, "A Place for Pets" aired instead.[17] The schedule was never updated, and no other SpongeBob episode was changed.
  • 25th February 2025 - "In the Mood to Feud" was still scheduled to air at 5:30am.[18] Despite this, "A Place for Pets" aired instead.[19][20] The schedule was once again never updated.

  • "PL-1413" aired at 5:45am as listed and the credits for "In the Mood to Feud" made a brief appearance.


  • 28th April 2025 - "In the Mood to Feud" airs on Nickelodeon at 5pm.[21]
  • 1st May 2025 - "In the Mood to Feud" is made available on Nicktoons UK on demand.
  • 9th May 2025 - "In the Mood to Feud" airs on Nickelodeon at 1pm.[22]
  • 15th May 2025 - "In the Mood to Feud" airs on Nickelodeon at 10:31am.[23][24]
  • 20th May 2025 - "In the Mood to Feud" airs on Nickelodeon at 5pm.[25]
  • 10th June 2025 - "PL-1413"/"In the Mood to Feud" are skipped on Nickelodeon at 5am, along with three other S14 pairings.[26]
  • 25th June 2025 -
  • Nickelodeon publishes their schedules for July, with "In the Mood to Feud" scheduled to air on the 28th of July at 7am.[27]

  • In response to an email that I sent to Nickelodeon UK a few days prior, they state that, although "there are no explicit restrictions; however, due to the storyline involving a feud between the Narwhals and the Planktons, scheduling is typically avoided." The email goes on to say: "I'll reach out to Kids Compliance to double check if a note should be added. The next transmission is set for the 23rd of July, so we can still swap it out for another episode if necessary, depending on their feedback."
  • At the time of this email exchange, the schedule published for Nickelodeon did not show an "In the Mood to Feud" airing for the 23rd of July. The schedule for Nicktoons/NickSpongeBob on that date was published a day later, without "In the Mood to Feud."[28]
  • 1st July 2025 - A schedule for Nickelodeon Global is published, with a sensitivity warning for war added to "In the Mood to Feud."[29]
  • 8th July 2025 - Nickelodeon UK publishes numerous schedule changes:
  • The "In the Mood to Feud" airing for the 28th of July is replaced with "Beneath the Bun: Secrets of the Krabby Patty."[30]
  • Some schedules for August are published, with "Beneath the Bun" also scheduled to air on the 3rd of August at 12pm[31] and the 8th of August at 5pm.[32] It is possible "In the Mood to Feud" was originally scheduled for these slots.
  • It is also worth noting, the Nicktoons/NickSpongeBob schedule for the 23rd of July, which was published on the 26th of June, also has "Beneath the Bun" scheduled to air at 8pm. It is likely this was supposed to be the "In the Mood to Feud" airing mentioned in the email.[28]
