Description
There are various different types of snow globes seen in episodes:
In "New Leaf," they have snowmen and houses inside.
In "I ♥ Dancing," it has Mount Oyster inside with a clam on top.
In "The Monster Who Came to Bikini Bottom," it has a castle inside.
In "Lost and Found," it has Bikini Bottom inside. When shaken, it causes the real Bikini Bottom to shake and snow.
In "The Patrick Show Cashes In," Shmandor or the Star house.

Role in series
"New Leaf"
Plankton sells a bunch of snow globes as part of the grand opening of the Chumporium. SpongeBob even buys a snow globe for himself, but Mr. Krabs suspects that Plankton is using them somehow to steal the Krabby Patty secret formula by spying on them. Mr. Krabs then destroys most of the snow globes and Plankton kicks him out of his store.
"I ♥ Dancing"
From the Mount Oyster gift shop, SpongeBob gets a Mt. Oyster snow globe for Squidward.
