We Hate Musictown is a music-hating city that appears in the comic strip They're Playing My Tune.
Description
We Hate Musictown is a small city that despises any type of music whatsoever. It is run by an unnamed mayor, and the city features a large sign that reads "Welcome to We Hate Musictown."
However, once SpongeBob's popular song spread to their city, the residents of We Hate Musictown decided to love music instead, to the point where the city's mayor changed the name to "We Love Musictown."
Role in comic
When Squidward is trying to get away from SpongeBob's annoying song, the last place he is seen traveling to is the music-hating city of We Hate Musictown. However, SpongeBob's song has caused the city to love music, leading the town to be officially renamed as We Love Musictown, to Squidward's horror.
