Synopsis

One night at Goo Lagoon, two fish are relaxing and eating ice cream together. When a drop falls into the water, a beast suddenly appears from the water and devours the ice cream, leaving only the cone. The next day, it digs to the supermarket to eat more, and attacks Goofy Goober's Ice Cream Party Boat. It then eats all of the ice cream sold to kids from the Goofy Goober truck, and then half the truck itself.

The Goofy Goober salesman hosts a meeting at City Hall regarding what to do about the monster. When the only proposed suggestion is to stop selling ice cream, everyone protests. The Ice Cream King speaks up, stating that he has plotted the sites of the attacks and needs to use the salesman's truck to help bait the monster out. Squidina follows along to record a documentary.

Riding the truck, the Ice Cream King spreads chum as bait, which the salesman protests. When they argue, some ice cream spills out onto the road, attracting the monster again. Their truck is destroyed, leaving them to use the Ice Cream King's upgraded boat. A giant ice cream cone is dragged along the road to lure the beast out, revealing it to be Patrick, to Squidina's surprise. The ice cream ends up eaten and Patrick digs underground, despite the team's efforts.

The Ice Cream King suggests they could take Patrick out if they knew where he lived, worrying Squidina. The salesman reveals he put a tracking chip in the ice cream. When he steps in a puddle of ice cream, Patrick comes out of the hole and swallows him whole. The Ice Cream King picks up the tracker and goes to the Star house.

To Squidina's horror, the Ice Cream King is insistent on taking Patrick down. He puffs up his suit to more closely resemble ice cream and locks himself in a cage as bait, then goes beneath Patrick's room. He runs into the salesman, and Patrick leaps at the Ice Cream King. When he sees Squidina, he reverts back to his regular self. The Ice Cream King wants to attack Patrick, but Squidina suggests they settle it with an ice cream-eating contest, where the loser forfeits their ice cream.

After an intense competition, the Ice Cream King wins. Patrick says he cannot give all the ice cream back because he has eaten it, although the Ice Cream King has a solution: using Patrick as the ice cream dispenser in the Goofy Goober truck.

Trivia

General

Cultural references

  • This episode is a homage to the 1975 movie, Jaws. The Ice Cream King getting the city hall's attention by scratching an ice cream cone against a chalkboard, and later saying "We're gonna need a bigger boat," are direct references to the movie.

Errors

  • In the first shot of everyone at City Hall, Incidental 6 is yellow. In the next, he is colored brown like usual.
  • When the Ice Cream King walks in front of the podium, Incidental 13's eyes are white instead of yellow. They are colored correctly in the previous scenes.
