Trivia
*Squidward's Spanish name, Calamardo is based off of "calamari," a type of squid. The Spanish word for squid is also calamar.

*A voice-over will usually read out what text is on screen.
**"Arrgh!"/"Rock Bottom" completed dubbing in 2000, but aired in 2006. However, both episodes premiered early on Canal 5 in 2002.
*In the first few episodes, Sandy was called with her original English name.
**"Gary Takes a Bath" and "Squid on Strike"/"Sandy, SpongeBob, and the Worm" completed dubbing in 2001, but aired in 2005. However these episodes premiered really early on Canal 5 in 2002.
**"The Sponge Who Could Fly" completed dubbing in 2002, but aired in 2006. However, this episode premiered early on Canal 5 in 2004.
***Additionally this episode was released on the Lost at Sea DVD and VHS a month prior to its Mexican premiere.

*Squidward's Spanish name, Calamardo, is based off the combination of the Spanish word for squid, which is calamar; and the name Eduardo, Spanish for Edward. His nickname is Calamardito.
*Sandy Cheeks' name in this dub is Arenita Mejillas.
**In "Ripped Pants" and "Nature Pants," Sandy was called by her original English name.
*Plankton's name is sometimes spelled "Plancton" on the official YouTube channel.
*A voice-over will usually read out any text that is on screen.
*This dub airs on the Bob Esponja channel on Pluto TV with season 1 airing very often.
*The title cards aren't edited with their respective language as in other places. The only thing that is heard is the name of the episode in the dub, this is common for all Nicktoons to be dubbed in the Latin American language but not edited to the respective language, the same thing goes for all other dubs except for the French, Hebrew, Italian, German, and Japanese dubs.<!--- The Bengal dub does not count --->
**However, fellow Nicktoon The Fairly OddParents had the early seasons to be edited in the respective language, due to distribution rights with Nelvana.
*Unlike the original version, SpongeBob is called "Bob" countless times.
*This dub has aired on 49 different networks.
*On Nicktoons airings, season 5, season 6, some episodes of season 7, "It's a SpongeBob Christmas!," some episodes of season 9, last 2 episodes of season 10 are in PAL pitch, this is due to the feed being merged with Nicktoons Global after 2017
**In addition, all reruns from the former are stretched in widescreen.
***Also on Netflix, season 6 is in PAL Pitch.
**On Nickelodeon airings, the rest of season 11 and some episodes of season 12 are in PAL pitch, this is due the Central and South feeds merged with Nickelodeon Scandinavia as of October 17, 2023, additionally both feeds only air reruns of seasons 9 to 13.
**In the North feed (Mexico), episodes from the former are not in PAL pitch, and still air episodes from all of the seasons.
*The last episode that would air on Nicktoons is a rerun of "Goo Goo Gas" and half of "Le Big Switch."
*Kaihiamal Martinez who voices the titular character and Gary the Snail was replaced with Luis Carreño in the second season onwards due to his firing from Etcétera Group. He then moved to Mexico where he would continue his dubbing and acting career in other shows.
**He would then reprise his role in The Sponge Who Could Fly Musical in 2011.
**Kaihiamal and Luis were previously cast together in the Latin Spanish dub of CatDog. In the dub, Luis voices Dog, and Kaihiamal voices Winslow T. Oddfellow and Clifford in the first three seasons.
**Coincidentally, both Dog and Cliff are voiced by Tom Kenny.
*Luis Carreño (The voice of SpongeBob and DoodleBob) moved to Miami after completing dubbing The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water.
*Luis Pérez Pons, who voiced Eugene H. Krabs quit voicing the character after season 5 because of a failed agreement with Etcétera Group; thus being replaced by Carlos Vitale starting from season 6 to the first half of season 9. However, he would later reprise his role in The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water and the second half of season 9 to season 13 because of a new deal with the dubbing studio, followed to his death on October 24, 2023.
**Carlos Vitale, who also voiced Eugene H. Krabs and Larry the Lobster in seasons 6 - 9, would later retire his dubbing career in 2013. However, he would later return to his career 10 years later, but was not interested in reprising his role after the death of Luis Pons.
*In this dub, RandomLand is called "Locolandia," which translates into "CrazyLand."
*As of today, unedited versions of "Procrastination" and "Karate Island" are currently re-airing on Nickelodeon Latin America, Canal 5, and Telefe.
**The cut version of "Procrastination" is available on Amazon Prime Video.
**The unedited version of "Just One Bite" was dubbed, but during its original Latin American airing on September 3, 2002 they decided to air the edited version instead, due to avoid of children imitating dangerous acts of playing fire matches and gasoline.
**The unedited version of "in RandomLand" was dubbed and aired on it's premiere in the region until November 1, 2023, it was then switched with the edited version, in response to the Global merger. It's unknown if the unedited version still airs on the North feed (Mexico).
***When the edited version of "SpongeBob in RandomLand" premiered, audio from the Baby Squidward scene was taken from the Red Mist one.
****All three endings of the "You Wish" version of "Shanghaied" are aired rarely on Canal 5, since 2016.
****The unedited version of "SpongeBob in RandomLand" stills airs on Canal 5 and Telefe.
*During an airing of "Ripped Pants" on Canal 5 on April 16, 2021, a flow of tweets appear on the bottom screen mentions users @ElEsponjosoMX and @webesponjosa, which they are both of the creators that runs La Web Cascarudo and Webesponjosa.
*"Dunces and Dragons," "SpongeBob's Last Stand", "Squidferatu"/"Slappy Daze," "Kreepaway Kamp," and "Sandy's Country Christmas" are the only episodes to be aired in Latin America on the same dates as the United States.

Trivia

  • Despite completing dubbing from its copyright year, Nickelodeon Latin America would often held an episode years after the previous episode aired.
  • Squidward's Spanish name, Calamardo, is based off the combination of the Spanish word for squid, which is calamar; and the name Eduardo, Spanish for Edward. His nickname is Calamardito.
  • Sandy Cheeks' name in this dub is Arenita Mejillas.
  • Plankton's name is sometimes spelled "Plancton" on the official YouTube channel.
  • A voice-over will usually read out any text that is on screen.
  • This dub airs on the Bob Esponja channel on Pluto TV with season 1 airing very often.
  • The title cards aren't edited with their respective language as in other places. The only thing that is heard is the name of the episode in the dub, this is common for all Nicktoons to be dubbed in the Latin American language but not edited to the respective language, the same thing goes for all other dubs except for the French, Hebrew, Italian, German, and Japanese dubs.
    • However, fellow Nicktoon The Fairly OddParents had the early seasons to be edited in the respective language, due to distribution rights with Nelvana.
  • Unlike the original version, SpongeBob is called "Bob" countless times.
  • This dub has aired on 49 different networks.
  • On Nicktoons airings, season 5, season 6, some episodes of season 7, "It's a SpongeBob Christmas!," some episodes of season 9, last 2 episodes of season 10 are in PAL pitch, this is due to the feed being merged with Nicktoons Global after 2017
    • In addition, all reruns from the former are stretched in widescreen.
      • Also on Netflix, season 6 is in PAL Pitch.
    • On Nickelodeon airings, the rest of season 11 and some episodes of season 12 are in PAL pitch, this is due the Central and South feeds merged with Nickelodeon Scandinavia as of October 17, 2023,[6] additionally both feeds only air reruns of seasons 9 to 13.
    • In the North feed (Mexico), episodes from the former are not in PAL pitch, and still air episodes from all of the seasons.
  • The last episode that would air on Nicktoons is a rerun of "Goo Goo Gas" and half of "Le Big Switch."
  • Kaihiamal Martinez who voices the titular character and Gary the Snail was replaced with Luis Carreño in the second season onwards due to his firing from Etcétera Group. He then moved to Mexico where he would continue his dubbing and acting career in other shows.
    • He would then reprise his role in The Sponge Who Could Fly Musical in 2011.
    • Kaihiamal and Luis were previously cast together in the Latin Spanish dub of CatDog. In the dub, Luis voices Dog, and Kaihiamal voices Winslow T. Oddfellow and Clifford in the first three seasons.
    • Coincidentally, both Dog and Cliff are voiced by Tom Kenny.
  • Luis Carreño (The voice of Template:Data:Links and DoodleBob) moved to Miami after completing dubbing The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water.
  • Luis Pérez Pons, who voiced Eugene H.
    • Carlos Vitale, who also voiced Eugene H. Krabs and Larry the Lobster in seasons 6 - 9, would later retire his dubbing career in 2013. However, he would later return to his career 10 years later, but was not interested in reprising his role after the death of Luis Pons.
  • In this dub, RandomLand is called "Locolandia," which translates into "CrazyLand."
  • As of today, unedited versions of "Procrastination" and "Karate Island" are currently re-airing on Nickelodeon Latin America, Canal 5, and Telefe.[7][8]
    • The cut version of "Procrastination" is available on Amazon Prime Video.[9]
    • The unedited version of "Just One Bite" was dubbed, but during its original Latin American airing on September 3, 2002 they decided to air the edited version instead, due to avoid of children imitating dangerous acts of playing fire matches and gasoline.
