When Christmas comes, SpongeBob is busy late at night decorating his house with Christmas lights. When he turns them on, they awaken Squidward. When SpongeBob asks Squidward what he wants for Christmas, Squidward tells him that he wants the day off, which would happen anyway since the Krusty Krab is closed on Christmas. The next day, SpongeBob ask Mr. Krabs when he can start decorating the Krusty Krab for Christmas, only for Krabs to refuse to let him decorate thinking it would cost him money.

  • Despite the book being themed around Christmas, the book was originally released 2 months and 22 days before Christmas, and the re-release was released 17 days after.

Errors

  • In a few page scenes, Patrick's eyelids are pink instead of purple.
  • In the thirteenth illustration, Patrick's mouth is the same color as his outline.
