Location

Dullsville is a city that appears in the episode "Plankton Retires." The city is small and appears to be in a rural area, unlike Bikini Bottom which is more urban.

Description

It has a shopping center named Dullsville Shopping Center, which has stores such as Dull-Mart and Shoes. There is also the Dullsville Senior Living, at where Plankton stays in the episode. The sign of the building is brown and reads "Welcome to Dullsville a charmingly boring community" in red and dark brown lettering.

Role in episode

After many failed attempts to steal the Krabby Patty secret formula, Plankton decides to retire and moves to Dullsville. Mr. Krabs and SpongeBob follow him to the town in order to find out what scheme he is up to.

Plankton settles in the Dullsville Senior Living center and SpongeBob and Mr. Krabs find out that the Plankton they are following is a decoy robot. It also turns out that Mr. Krabs anticipated this and sent robot copies of him and SpongeBob. With nothing more to do, the robots enjoy their time in the city until they explode on the billboard.

Trivia

  • It is 82 kilometers (50.95 miles) away from the Krusty Krab, according to the time card in the episode.
