- The majority of this track plays in Ab major.
- Between "The Sponge Who Could Fly" and "Grandpappy the Pirate," the A version took nearly six years to return.
- Since its return in "Grandpappy the Pirate," seasons 10, 13, and 14 are the only seasons to not play either version of this track.
- The "Arrgh!" and "Shanghaied" are only episodes to use A version as title card.
