One morning in Lake Yuckymuck, while the other campers are playing around, SpongeBob and Sandy decide to play a game of tetherball. The game starts out safe until Sandy asks SpongeBob if he's ready for "Hot Time at the Old Hoedown, Shut the Barn Door, Flaming Saddle Serve." SpongeBob happily says "I'm ready!" and the game starts. Sandy hit the ball so hard, it bursts into flames. SpongeBob gets bruises and dizzy from all the fun.
SpongeBob then goes to Mrs. Puff and Mr. Krabs. SpongeBob then groans in pain as a response. Mrs. Puff suggests the camp gets a nurse, while Mr. Krabs tells everyone who gets hurt to walk it off.
Concerned and furious with Mr. Krabs' being cheap and refusing to get a nurse, Mrs. Puff hires Nurse Helga to be the new camp nurse. While Nurse Helga gets the nurses office ready, SpongeBob comes into the office to ask for a band-aid for his collection, and Nurse Helga declines to give him one. SpongeBob would go back to the Nurses office many times for injuries. This gave Nurse Helga the idea to keep watching him 24/7.
Later, when SpongeBob's friends ask SpongeBob to join in, Nurse Helga would get hurt every time. After a concussion, Nurse Helga wakes up to the Sponge-filled nurses office. Nurse Helga then asked SpongeBob to stop, only for him to say ripping his sponge off doesn't hurt. The episode ends with Nurse Helga and SpongeBob jumping on the safe Nurses office and Nurse Helga refuses to help Mr. Krabs when he gets hurt.
Running gags
- Mr. Krabs telling everyone to walk it off, regardless of how serious the injury is.
- SpongeBob repeatedly coming to the nurse's office whenever he gets hurt.
- Nurse Helga getting hurt every time she tries to protect SpongeBob.
