Description

Sea bunnies appear similar to rabbits in the real world. They are known to be wild and mischievous, with Bunny Wunny invading Squidward's garden to eat his vegetables, and Pinkeye attempting to steal Ouchie's food. They are able to reproduce rapidly, as seen in "Bunny Hunt." In the Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years episode "Hill-Fu," SpongeBob practices his karate on a sea bunny, which counters and attacks him repeatedly, snickers, and then hops away.

A real sea bunny
  • According to Vincent Waller, he had to show Stephen Hillenburg that "sea bunnies" (Jorunna parva sea slugs that have a rabbit-like appearance) exist in order for this species to appear in the show.[1]
    • Despite this, a fictional species called "Sea bears" appear in multiple episodes from when Stephen Hillenburg was working on the show.
  • They are mentioned in "CopyBob DittoPants."
